We are a 132 mile MOTORSPORTS LOOP. With over 1300 curves, our roads are technical and beautiful. Our home is Richwood, WV & we are a Mon. National Forest Gateway Community.

Spanning from Marion to Tazewell, Virginia riders from around the world unite for the experience of a lifetime. Back of the Dragon offers over 400 curves for the thrill-seeking knee draggers, a two-lane ribbon road for the sports car aficionado’s and breathtaking views of the expansive 3 mountain range for all riders.

The "Head of the Dragon" joins Back of the Dragon, Claw of the Dragon, and Tail of the Dragon to complete the Body of the Dragon motorcycle rides series in VA, NC, TN and WV. The ride consists of 91 miles of beautiful mountain scenery while riding the country roads of McDowell County, West Virginia.

The winding hills and sweeping curves beckons motorcycle enthusiasts to our area. There are groups that return each and every year to tackle yet another mountain and to travel deeper into West Virginia’s history and heritage. Each ride invites you to see a different part of Southern West Virginia from our coalfields to our rivers.
